Revolutionary Principles of Movement Teacher Training & Certification

We have exciting news to share! We are holding our first RPM Teachers Certification event taking place February 18 - 21, 2020 at ASFA (Alabama School of Fine Arts). This event will be hosted by RPM founder Cheryl Ale and RPM Master Teacher Wes Chapman. Why are we doing this? Our goal is to award RPM Teachers Certification to the alumni of past RPM Teachers Training Seminars. What will the program look like?We will be reviewing material and curriculum from RPM: Principles of Movement in the morning and observing and participating in the Practicum with Wes Chapman and Cheryl Ale with students 12 to 18 years old from Alabama School of Fine Arts. In this clinic you will see how Wes and Cheryl work with dance students to integrate RPM Principles. This forum will be very interactive, hands on, and open to questions. What RPM offers...As alumni of RPM's workshops, you understand the effectiveness and success of this training method and how it is compatible with all syllabi and dance styles. RPM teachers know that these Principles successfully motivate the frameworks of all existing teaching programs. Kinesiology is the core of the RPM curriculum. We help dancers understand physiology, centrifugal and centripetal force, equilibrium, counter force, and center of gravity. Tying these concepts together allows dancers to understand more about their technique and make changes that cause immediate and dramatic improvement. Your students, whether they go on to dance with a company or to teach, will be equipped with the knowledge of how to move and the ability to adapt to any style of dance in a safe and healthy manner. Your students will learn when using the RPM principles they will posses the innate ability to feel the misalignment & intelligently self correct!! With these self revelations and diversified abilities the principles touch upon, you will find yourself at the cutting edge of todays dance world after attending this event !!Why become a RPM Certified Teacher?Studios that teach RPM gain an immediate edge. The method includes age-appropriate dance technique as well as a self-confident, bold approach to dance, freeing dancers to fall in love with the art.RPM is a complete curriculum that includes a syllabus for students in creative dance all the way to pre-professional. We have now established a certification program designed to support dance teachers and studio owners with added value and benefits.RPM Teaching Principles and Methods produces results! With today's diverse student population with their different degrees of ability and talent, RPM offers the teacher a way forward to achieve great results with every student.A RPM Certified Teacher's benefits include: educational support from fellow RPM teachers  a teacher and/or studio listing on the RPM website RPM promotional material to promote your studio a yearly membership, networking with major companies placement assistance into summer programs leading to apprenticeships.
